Here are six rods that are divided into red and blue chunks. Put them in some order that makes sense to you.

After you have put them in order, draw them in order on graph paper and answer these questions:

  • How are the rods the different?
  • How are they the same?
  • How did you decide how to put them in order?
  • How could you label the rods to tell them apart?
